I have finished creating a coordinating 11x17 and 8x10 poster for the upcoming Primary theme,
"Families are Forever"

The poster coordinates to the previous presidency binder covers, tabs, and lesson schedules I created
In addition I have created binder covers for each class in primary!
You can find the all the downloads below!

Just as a heads up, I know many of you have asked for door signs, monthly scripture posters, etc.
I will not be creating any of these items for free on my blog as I will be using the time
to create more free sharing time ideas, young women ideas, relief society ideas, etc.
But if you are interested in ordering such items, you can email me or find more information here!
Thanks for your understanding!!!

Hope you and your primary enjoy these free downloads!

I have felt so inspired by the Primary's October Sharing Time Outline.
I love the principles being taught, because I feel like they are so important and applicable to EVERYONE!

I decided to create a fun little sharing time idea based on the outline
"I CAN SHARE THE GOSPEL WITH MY FRIENDS AND FAMILY".

There are two parts (discussion points and an activity) that you might possibly use during your sharing time lesson!

My thought is to begin the lesson by teaching the children that "Every Member is a Missionary".
Explain to them that that statement includes THEM!
From there you could discuss some ways the children can share the gospel with their friends and families now!
(see some possible discussion points and references below).

Following, you could involve the children in a missionary activity.
You could discuss how they children could start by being missionaries within their own primary classes!
Help the children understand that there are a lot of other children who belong to the primary who they don't normally see.
Explain that we want those children to know that we are their friends and want to see them come to primary with us.

You could have the children sit in their classes and pick someone together they would like to make cards for.
Each child could write a message or draw a picture for that specific child.

Below I have created a larger card with a pocket that you could put together all the notes from the children to drop off.
(you could do this as a primary presidency or have class teachers drop off the cards).

I hope you and your primary have fun learning and participating in missionary work together!
You can download a PDF copy of the images by clicking on the links below.
Keep in mind that  if you attempt to change the sizing, you may run the risk of slightly blurring the image!

Keep in mind that  if you are interested in any alterations to the designs
or any adding an personal details, I am more than happy to help!
You can find more information and details here

You might take some time to talk about the many things children can do to share the gospel.

I chose to highlight 4 simple things children can do now to be missionaries towards their friends and family.
If you decide to use some of the same talking points,
you could post the pictures above as you discuss the topics.
I have also included some coordinating stories, scriptures,
and songs that you might mention / sing as you teach and share with the kids in primary.

From my experience, children have such a sense of kindness and love about them.
They are often being the greatest missionaries when they are being friends to other children,
because they show such pure love.
I decided to focus on how being a good friend can help children share the gospel.

You might take some time to help the children understand that as they are being kind and friendly to others,
they are following the example of the Savior.

There are many ways to share the gospel by being a friend.
For instance, when we see someone new (outside, at home, or at church),
we can say hi and introduce ourselves.

Below are some example stories, scriptures and songs
that coordinate to this topic that you could share with the children

Matthew 4:16
Alma 37: 6-7

8.5 x 11 "Love & Serve Others" Print Download

You might take some time to explain to the children that as we are
serving others and showing love, we are sharing the gospel.

The Savior demonstrated great love as He shared and preached the gospel.

Below are some example stories, scriptures and songs
that coordinate to this topic that you could share with the children

Matthew 22:39
Matthew 25:37-40

CHILDREN'S SONGS

8.5 x 11 "Listen & Show Interest" Print Download

You might take some time to explain to the children that we can
better share the gospel as we listen carefully to others.
We should listen to them like their Heavenly Father.
As we listen to them, our friends will feel confident that their thoughts and feelings
are important to us and our friends will be more likely to be receptive to the gospel.

Below are some example stories, scriptures and songs
that coordinate to this topic that you could share with the children

SCRIPTURES
D&C 18:10

8.5 x 11 "Wave & Invite Others" Print Download

You might take the time to help the children understand how they can
share the gospel by making others feel loved.
For instance, when we see people alone, we can invite them to join us.
We can smile, wave, and be kind.
We can invite them to do things with us, including go to church.

Below are some example stories, scriptures and songs
that coordinate to this topic that you could share with the children

You can create a larger card by piecing together two regular sheets of cardstock (8.5 x 11)
I created a simple 8.5 x 11 cover for the card that you could glue on the front for decoration.
I have also created a pocket for the inside of the card
to hold each of the notes and drawings from the children.
You can create the pocket in the card by cutting out the pocket image and glueing it on the inside of the card
(only glue three sides - left, right, and bottom).

I decided to take a sneak peak at the Primary's October sharing time outlines.
I was SO excited to read and learn that it is on Missionary Work - one of my favorite topics!

I decided to create a fun little game based on the outline
"LIVING THE GOSPEL HELPS ME TO BE A MISSIONARY NOW".

It is a fun and simple board game that could be used for sharing time or even as a FHE activity!

The children should be split into teams (2 teams or more depending on how many children are playing).
Select a child from each team to come to the front and roll both dice.

The dice with numbers on it indicates how many spaces the team moves on the board.
The colored dice will give the child an activity to complete (see specifics below).

The game provides a variety of activities for the children to participate in
as they learn more about how they can be missionaries now by living the gospel!

I hope you and your primary have fun playing and learning together!

I decided to make the board larger than a regular 8.5 x11 so if you are using the game as a sharing time,
more of the children will be able to see the game from a distance.
I created it so you will need to download two sides (right and left) which are each 8.5x11 and piece them together!

NUMBERS DICE DOWNLOAD
Again, each turn  children will roll both the numbers and activity dice.
The numbers dice above will indicate how many spaces the child will move on the actual board game.
Cut along the perimeter of dice. Fold and glue on flaps to create a cube.

ACTIVITY DICE DOWNLOAD
Again, each turn children will roll both the numbers and activity dice.
The activity dice will give the child/team an assignment to complete based on missionary work.
Cut along the perimeter of dice. Fold and glue on flaps to create a cube.
See explanations of activities below.

Have the child name one thing that they can do right now to be a missionary.
Answers might include...
reading the scriptures
inviting another child who is alone to play
helping a parent fold the laundry
being reverent in church
Help the child understand that by living the gospel standards
they are preparing to be missionaries now.

Share a simple scenario with the child and ask them what they would do.

For example...
Timmy is at the park playing with his friends when he notices another boy
sitting on the grass all by himself. The boy seemed very sad and alone.
What would you do?

Prepare a few different scenarios to present to children
(scenarios might differ depending on the child's age).

Ask the child to select a song to sing as a group about missionary work.

For example...
Called to Serve
I Hope They Call Me on a Mission
We'll Bring the World His Truth
The Things I Do
The Church of Jesus Christ

Have the child draw on the board something they can do to be a missionary now.
Have the child draw the picture and have their team guess!
Drawings might include...
a child saying their prayers
a choose the right sheild (choosing the right)
a child sharing their testimony
Help the child understand that by living the gospel standards
they are preparing to be missionaries now.

Share some simple stories about missionary work (from the scriptures or from lds.org)
and ask the child/team how missionary service was demonstrated.

Here are just a few stories I found on LDS.org...

At the end of the sharing time, you might provide each child with a missionary tag (see above)
and have them choose one gospel principle they want to work on as they prepare to be a missionary now.
They can write the gospel standard on the missionary tag as a reminder of their goal.

Saying that I am getting excited for General Conference is a bit of an understatement.

I AM SUPER HYPED.
Listening to the leaders of the church is always something that I look forward to.

I decided to create a simple handout for either the young women or relief society sisters to encourage them
to prayerfully watch General Conference!

As of late I have been on a bit of a nautical kick, which inspired the handout.
If you want to pair a treat with the handout you could easily package up some chocolate gold coins or Nestle's "Treasures"... (mmmmm).

Also included on the handout are some "Map Markers"
which are simple suggestions of how we can get the most out of watching General Conference.
I took the suggestions and ideas from the LDS website, which you can find HERE.

As usual feel free to use and share my handouts!
You can download a PDF file for both the front and back of the handout below by clicking on the links.
These handouts are sized to be 4x6.

Keep in mind that  if you are interested in any alterations to the designs
or any adding an personal details, I am more than happy to help!

RELIEF SOCIETY & PRIMARY PRESIDENCY
CONTACT INFORMATION MAGNETS

A few weeks ago I posted some ideas to to help encourage participation in the Young Women organization.
You can find the details and specific ideas HERE

One of the ideas I posted was a simple Presidency Contact Information Magnet.
The purpose of the magnets was to give the young women a simple way to track their leader's contact information
and also a reminder of their leader's love for them.
Not only is the magnet beneficial for the young woman,
but it is also great for their parents who might be a bit apprehensive about their daughter attending YW.
It gives them a contact number in case they need to get in touch with their daughter.

I suggested dropping off the cards as a presidency and taking the time to introduce yourself to the young woman her family members.

Since posting the idea I have had several requests for the same idea but specifically for the Relief Society and Primary.
I thought it was a great idea and decided to quickly put together some cute cards for your use!

You can download a PDF image of the Contact Information Cards templates by clicking on the links below.
There are 8 cards to an 8.5x11 page.

Keep in mind that  if you are interested in any alterations to the designs
or any adding an personal details, I am more than happy to help!
For instance, if you would like me to digitally add in your presidency
contact information so you don't need to fill them out by hand...

Many of you have reached out to me to inform me of the new Primary theme!

"Families are Forever"

I think it is wonderful that the primary will be focusing on the family next year
and wanted to get a head start on preparing for the upcoming theme!

I decided to get a head start by creating some simple presidency binder covers to be swapped out come January!
The designs are based on the new theme "Families are Forever" and as always, are free to download.

You can download a PDF image of each of the binder designs by clicking on the links below.
All binder cover designs are set to 8.5 x 11.
I also created a simple sharing time schedule (could be used for the back of the binder)
and some simple coordinating tabs.

UPDATE
Since creating these images and post,
I have additionally created a coordinating Primary Theme Poster and additional class binder covers!
