I'm joining up with Mary at Little Red House for Mosaic Monday. I joined with her last week for the first time with a mosaic featuring my niece Melissa at her birthday party and it was so much fun I think I'm addicted to mosaic's :-) So be sure to click here and go visit all the other Mosaicer's this Monday.
This was such a busy weekend. Yesterday I drove my two nephews Sean and Issac to meet their dad 1/2 way to Ventura. Their mom, my sister had been in Ventura with her husband for a job related convention. I drove them so they could spend the remainder of the weekend with their mom and dad for a mini-vacation.
Then on the way back home my mom and I hit some thrift stores in Bakersfield. We went for the first time to St. Vincent De Paul Thrift Store and my mosaic this Monday shows some of the Halloween goodies I scored there. A Ghosty Halloween pumpkin candy dish and stacked wooden Halloween pumpkins and my favorite, a ceramic witches shoe. I had been searching high and low for one of these ever since I saw one that belongs to Lisa at Pickles and Cheese blog. Hers is much more beautiful than the one I found as hers is all glittery and the heel of the shoe is candy corn, go see it, then come back and see mine. Each item shown below was 25 cents each!
I also found some faux fruit and vegetables. I had been searching high and low for those also to go in a display of a cornucopia that I bought while visiting my daughter in Modesto a couple of weeks ago. My mom and I picked up my niece - her granddaughter Clarissa who was coming to spend the night with her "Nana" (my mom). I asked Clarissa if she wanted to set up the fall display for me and she was thrilled and had a great time doing it, just see the next mosaic with pictures of Clarissa, my mom and the cornucopia. (FYI, the fruits and veggies were $2.00, the cornucopia was 79 cents, spending time with Clarissa - PRICELESS!)
I could probably go on and on making mosaics to share with you, but it's been a long weekend with lots of visitors. Both my brothers and my sister came by to visit and I saw every single one of my nieces and nephews this weekend. Now, it's TV time on the couch. I hope everyone has a great week!
