Christmas Tree Ornament by Dana Tatar
Hi Couture Creations fans! Dana here today sharing a Christmas ornament that I created with pieces of embossed chipboard. This project started out as a mini album kit. Instead of using the triangular tree portions as pages, I glued them all together to create a fun and colorful ornament for the tree!
I embossed each section of the tree with the Wild Holly Embossing Folder. I painted the front and back of each piece with a light coat of gesso and then a colorful Gelato. I highlighted the embossing with Silver Inka-Gold. I dipped the edges of each colorful tree segment in white acrylic paint for a frosty feel. Once the paint was dry, I glued the sections together to form the tree. No Christmas tree is complete without bling, so I embellished the tree with Moonlight Self-Adhesive Pearls and Silver Glitzin' Glamour Glitter Glue.
I created a photo frame for the back of the ornament with the Scalloped Oval and Oval Nesting Dies.
I finished embellishing the back of the ornament with a stamped sentiment and Moonlight Self-Adhesive Pearls.
Thanks so much for stopping by today!

Gratitude by Dana Tatar
Hi Couture Creations fans! Dana here today sharing a card that I created with the gorgeous Endless Embossing Folder from the All Occasions collection. I have many things to be thankful for and this card will be going to someone special! I embossed a piece of metal for the background of my card and then added color with alcohol inks for a fun and festive finish.
Follow these steps to create a similar card:
Step One: Emboss a piece of aluminum with the Endless Embossing Folder.
Step Two: Color the embossed metal with alcohol inks. I used Butterscotch, Red Pepper and Terra Cotta Alcohol Inks along with some Gold Mixatives for a bit of shine.
Step Three: Wrap a piece of ribbon around the center of the embossed and colored aluminum piece and mount onto a cardstock card base using Foam Mounting Tape.
Step Four: Cut a piece of white cardstock with a Scalloped Oval Nesting Die. Ink the edges. Stick the oval over the center of the ribbon with Double-Sided Tape.
Step Five: Attach a chipboard sentiment to the center of the Scalloped Oval die-cut with Foam Mounting Tape.
Thanks so much for stopping by today!

Intricutz Wreath Card with Dana Tatar
Hi Couture Creations fans! Dana here today sharing a Christmas card. I used the NEW Wild Holly Embossing Folder, from the Wrapped In Joy Collection, on the patterned paper base of my card. I put together a layered wreath with cuts from my favorite Dazzling Doily Die and two dies from the Sophia Intricutz Die Collection.
Follow these steps to assemble this card:
Step One: Select two different colored pattered papers. Trim the papers to fit inside each other on a card base. Emboss the top pattered paper with the Wild Holly Embossing Folder. Adhere the patterned paper layers to the card base with Double-Sided Tape.
Step Two: Select three shades of green cardstock. Cut one piece of green cardstock with the Dazzling Doily Die. Cut three pieces of another shade of green cardstock with the Connexion Intricutz Die. Cut the last piece of green cardstock with the Assouline Intricutz Die. Attach the die-cut layers to the front of the card with Foam Mounting Tape with the Dazzling Doily die-cut on the bottom, the Connexion die-cuts in the middle and the Assouline die-cut on the top.
Step Three: Highlight the flower centers of the Assouline die-cut with Red Lust Self-Adhesive Gemstones.
Step Four: Add a sentiment to the center of the wreath.
Step Five: Finish the card by adding a gold bow to the bottom of the wreath.

Happy World Card Making Day by Dana Tatar
Hi Couture Creations fans! Dana here today wishing you a Happy World Card Making Day! I'm super excited for Halloween and all things creepy and crawly!
I started this card with a Core'dinations cardstock base. I knew I wanted to pile on a lot of embellishments, so I needed a sturdy foundation.
I centered a cardstock sticker on a die-cut that I created with the Couture Creations Celestial Doily Die. I separated the layers with Foam Mounting Tape to add dimension to my card. I added flowers, giant rhinestones, twine and a glittery spider to make a spooktacular embellishment cluster.
I added Couture Creations Green Glitzin' Glamour Glitter Glue to the eyes of the owl for a fun pop of shimmery color.
Thanks so much for stopping by today!

Couture Monoprints with Dana Tatar
Hi Couture Creations fans! Dana here today sharing a Christmas themed tag and envelope set that I created with some monoprints I made with the new Sugarplum Ball Embossing Folder, a Gelli Plate and Block Printing Ink.
Step One: Gather a Gelli Plate, several colors of Block Printing Ink, a brayer, book pages or other thin papers and several Couture Creations embossing folders.
Step Two: Apply a small amount of Block Printing Ink to the Gelli Plate and spread the ink evenly across the surface of the plate with a brayer.
Step Three: Open the embossing folder and place the raised pattern down onto the plate.
Gently press the folder onto the plate.
Step Four: Carefully lift the embossing folder from the plate and press a book page over the plate, pressing gently to transfer the pattern onto the paper. Lift the paper from the plate and set aside to dry. Make a second print by placing a book page inside the embossing folder, closing the folder, and pressing down on the folder to transfer the paint from the folder to the paper. Note: The layer of paint on the plate and on the embossing folder is thin and dries quickly, so be prepared to work through these steps fast! Clean the paint from the embossing folder as soon as you are done printing.
I was able to make two prints using one embossing folder. The print on the left was lifted from the Gelli Plate and the print on the right was made by pressing the paint left on the embossing folder onto a piece of paper.
These prints were so much fun to create! I added a piece of a doily created with the Dazzling Doily Die to the tag. I added a flourish cut with the Lanvin Intricutz Die to the bottom of my festive flower cluster on the tag envelope.
I also embellished an ATC with a monoprint that I created with the A Songbird's Poinsettia Embossing Folder, the Lanvin Intricutz Die and some Moonlight Self-Adhesive Pearls.

Felt Flower Card with Dana Tatar
Hi Couture Creations fans! Dana here today sharing a fall themed card. I recently bought some felt and have been having a lot of fun creating felt flowers! This felt flower comes together fast with the help of the Daisy Nesting Dies and some hot glue, but let's start by assembling the card.
Step One: Emboss a piece of patterned paper with the Exotic Embossing Folder from the Couture Creations Fine Designs Collection. Lightly ink over the embossed pattern to highlight the design and adhere the paper to a cardstock card base.
Step Two: Cut a piece of orange cardstock with the Fleur-De Frame Nesting Die. Place the die over the cut piece of cardstock and, using a Sponge Dauber and the die as a mask, add ink to the open spaces of the die. Adhere the cardstock frame to the center of the card with Double-Sided Tape. Add two feathers to the top of the Fleur-De Frame.
Step Three: Cut a piece of double-sided patterned paper with the Ivy Doily Die Set and adhere the doilies, one of each pattern, to a strip of kraft paper and then to the card over the center of the Fleur-De Frame.
Step Four: Stamp a sentiment onto a piece of blue patterned paper and add three Vintage Gold Self Adhesive Gemstones. Adhere the sentiment strip to the center of the larger Ivy Doily with Double-Sided Tape.
Step Five: Emboss a piece of green cardstock with the Turkish Delight Embossing Folder (Fine Designs Collection). Using Sharp Point Scissors, cut two leaves from the embossed cardstock and adhere them to the card in the center of the two Ivy Doilies with Foam Mounting Tape.
Step Six: Assemble the felt flower and adhere it to the card with Foam Mounting Tape.
Felt Flower Tutorial
Step One: Cut five of the second smallest daisy shape and two of the smallest daisy shape from felt with the Daisy Nesting Dies.
Step Two: Fold one of the larger daisy shapes in half and secure with a dot of hot glue. Repeat for 3 more daisy shapes. The leftover larger daisy shape will be the used for the base of the flower.
Step Three: Fold each of the four flower shapes from Step Two in half again and secure with a dot of hot glue. These four pieces are the larger petals of the flower.
Step Four: Glue the four larger petals to the flower base.
Step Five: Fold and glue the two smaller daisy shapes the same way as the larger daisy shapes. Glue the two smaller petals to the top of the flower.
I adapted this flower design from a felt flower tutorial that I found here.
