Dream by Patti Hamil

Today I wanted to share a layout of our beautiful Granddaughter that I did using the Super Powder Puff folder from the Fresh & Fun collection. This design is such a super fun folder to play with, for this one I decided to add some color! I also added LOTS of layers!!!

Here is what I started with.

I colored in the designs with four pastel colors, green, pink, yellow and blue. I just used my Zig markers for this, it was really easy since the  image is so well defined.

Here you see the Nesting Die squares layered underneath the photo! And I used the foam tape underneath as well!!!!

I used the Kaleidoscope Heart die in three colors and added dimension on these as well. I also backed them with a cream cardstock with a yellow tint to match the little yellow fans I tucked behind each square. I also added a pink gemstone to each tip!

In each little center corner I added a tiny little rose at each fan. I added a sticker sentiment "dream".

This layout was so much fun to create, and I hope you liked seeing it! Don't be afraid to add lots of layers and dimension to your pages sometimes, it really makes them come alive!!! Thanks so much for stopping by!

Dance by Cathi O'Neill

All she wants to do is dance!! I have that Don Henley 80s song running through my head now!! My daughter is addicted to ballet, and as she goes up grades, her teacher has encouraged her. She wants to be a professional dancer and it is great to see her so passionate about something. It is a competitive world but if she is serious about this, we will be here to help her along. (Though the idea of long distances travelled for all of this is something I wouldn't mind not having to do lol!!)

This layout showcases some of the new Sophia dies along with a doily die and folder. I just love the amazing flourishes in the Sophia line. I chose to use the Lanvin die and the Stella die, cutting them out in white cardstock and misting them with Shimmerz sprays.

I used the Fresh and Fun Magical Embossing folder for my background paper for the fussy cut image of my daugher, cutting it out in Core'dinations Whitewash cardstock. I used the Couture Creations Sanding Block to bring up the pattern.

I next took the Fantasia Collection Dazzling Doily Die and cut it out of white cardstock again. I cut it in half and inked it with Walnut Stain Distress Ink using the Couture Creations Sponge Daubers.

I then started layering the papers for the layout, putting down the embossing folder first and the lace, tucking the doilies underneath and arranging the flourish die cuts on top... I then took my fussy cut photo of my daughter and lifted it up on 12mm Foam Mounting Tape.

I added several pieces of ballet themed chipboard from Molossi and a few flowers and placed the photo there in the scene.
I got my inspiration for this type layout from the gorgeous work of Britt Sviggum and really wanted to try it!

I added some molding paste through a damask stencil and gorgeous script and crackle stamps and some really bright mist.
I had a lot of fun making this!!
Hope to see you sharing your work on the Couture Creations Facebook page!!!

True Love by Jo Piccirilli

Wow we are now into another month!  I was reminded a couple of weeks ago just how close to Christmas we are getting by receiving a lovely box of products from Couture Creations.  Yep amongst all the new dies there was lots of Christmas embossing folders.

I couldn't get my head around Christmas just yet so I have had a play with some of the new dies from the Sophia range.  Oh my there are some lovely products in this new release!

Anyway here is my layout

I have used 2 of the new dies on this layout.  Ferretti, which is the flourish under the embossed heart at the bottom.  This is a lovely big flourish.  Perfect for scrap pages and big enough to cut in half and not loose any of the effect.

The other die I used was the Bloch.  This is the row of tulips.  How cute!  I inked the bottom of it and then embossed it with one of the new Christmas embossing folders.  The pattern wasn't too Christmassy so it worked perfectly.

Here is how I made the lacy border at the top and bottom

I have then just cut the tops off each end and positioned it so it looks like a border

I did this for the top and bottom border.

I have used core cardstock and embossed them.  I then sanded back the top layer for a white washed look.

Thanks for letting me share.

Until next time

Celebrate by Patti Hamil

I wanted to do a dimensional card with some of the folders, and I wanted a blinged up look! So I used several Couture Creations embossing folders and then highlighted the raised areas with Glitzin' Glamour Glitter Glue!!! Used lots of foam tape too!!!

Here's my card!

I used some Glitter cardstock and made a little medallion and placed a stamped title on it. I placed it on a folder (ribbon pleated) strip of  Pastel cardstock inked green. I used a circle underneath them that I had embossed with the Exotic folder and used Crystalina Glitzin' Glamour on it.

Here you see some close-up detail!

Here you can see the folded cardstock that the medallion is on top of.

The background of the card is also a piece of cardstock embossed with the Exotic folder and highlighted with more Glitzin' Glamour in Lilac! This was lots of fun to do and it looks really festive too!!!

Happy 15th Birthday Card By Adriana Bolzon

Hello there everyone,
is it my turn again today here at Couture Creations.
Today I have a Card that I have created for a young teenager who is turning "15".

Using card stock from Core'dinations called Black Magic and
Couture Creations - Peacock Pleasure embossing folder from the Fresh & Fun collection
Sanding block, and Glitzing Glamour Gold Glitter

Embossed the cardstock with the Peacock Pleasure embossing folder
from the Fresh & Fun collection

I lightly sanded the cardstock with the Couture Creations Sanding Block
this show up the blue cardstock underneath the black.
A Very striking effect , then I applied some
Glitzing Glamour Gold Glitter in the centres of each embossed circle,
 and leave to dry.

I embossed some blue cardstock and made it
into a fish tail banner and
then applied some chipboards numerals which I painted
gold paint and applied Glitzing Glamour Gold Glitter

Once dry, I applied it to some cardstock to create the card.
Very simple and easy.

Paper Piecing with Dana Tatar

Hi Couture Creations fans! Dana here with you today sharing a layout that features the Dream Embossing Folder from the Fresh & Fun Collection. Every once in awhile, the scrappy planets align, and I'm able to assemble a layout where the page elements coordinate in a fantastic way. As soon as I saw the Dream Embossing Folder, I immediately knew where to find the piece of patterned paper in my stash that was almost a perfect match!

I had a lot of fun piecing together this colorful embossed design to complement my patterned paper!

I selected three colors of Core'dinations cardstock to match my patterned paper and embossed each of them with the Dream Embossing Folder.

I cut the circles, steams and leaves from the colored cardstock with my Sharp Point Scissors and glued them to a piece of white cardstock that I also embossed with the Dream Embossing Folder.

I used the Celestial Doily Die from the Fantasia Collection to cut some pretty doilies for my layout. I love that this die cuts two doilies at once! I cut the larger lace doily in half and used the pieces to frame my photo.

I used the smaller doily as a journaling spot.

For a finishing touch, I mimicked the dotted print along the stems on my patterned paper around the stems of my flower clusters with Vintage Gold Self Adhesive Gemstones.

Thanks so much for stopping by today!

Country Time by Patti Hamil

Hello, it's Patti with another variation of a bloom made with the Daisy Nesting dies. There are so many different ways to customize hand-made blooms, I really enjoy playing around with them. This one turned out pretty cute! First, here is the finished page.

These flowers were all picked within a mile of my house while walking on a dirt road! I put them in a mason jar glass!!! Lots of perks to living in the country!!!

The first thing that I did was to use the Large Damask Flourish embossing folder from the Elegance Collection and emboss 2 pieces of white cardstock. I cut it into one long section and just embossed each end. I then used two colors of ink, one purple and one blue to get the desired color to match the background.

I also used a chipboard flourish from Imaginarium Designs. I used the same two colors of ink and then topped it off with a coat of the Glitzin Glamour in Crystalina. Such a pretty look!!!

Now for the blooms.  I used the Daisy Nestiing dies in the two smallest sizes. I used the largest of the two for the white outer blooms and the smaller for the yellow centers. I started by inking the edges after cutting them out.

I snipped into each one between each petal, make sure not to snip all the way to the center.

Next spritz with water and curl up as shown.

Let dry, and then carefully pull apart the petals with your piercing tool. Be careful not to tear the tiny petals.

Once unfolder, you can layer them and put them together!!!

After putting all four layers together this is how it will look. You can play around and curl, fluff or do whatever you want with the blooms!

Here you see them on the page, along with the little blue blooms that I used a tiny dot of the Gold Glitzin Glamour for the centers! You can also see where I embossed a piece of green cardstock with the Hyper Magical folder from the Fresh & Fun collection and cut out leaves from it.

Here are some closeups, here you see part of the chippie with the Glitzin Glamour and some of the tiny blooms.

A few more close-ups.
