A Moment in Time by Sue Smyth

Today I am sharing the first layout for Couture Creations Design Team.
One of the things I love to do most is make my own flowers from cardstock. You always get the right size and colour you are after if you make your own. The photo of my daughter when she was younger was the perfect start to a girly but fun layout.

To make the flowers you need

Cardstock Aged Wine or similar colour

Couture Creations Roses Nesting Dies

white glitter

Spray adhesive

Stamens

mini mister

heat gun

Couture Creations sanding block

Burgundy Ink or colour to compliment cardstock

Cut 3 shapes from cardstock using the 3 smallest sizes of Nested Die

( not the really small centre die)

Sand the edges

Ink the edges and create a hole in the centre with a hole punch of all shapes.

Cut slits into each layer, don't fuss too much on how many, if you do lots the flower will be fluffy, if you do less it looks more like a rose.

Gather a bunch of stamens together and glue the ends,

insert into the middle of the flowers starting with the smallest and working up to the largest.

Glue the stamens onto the back of the flower with hot glue.

Spray with water generously, and scrunch up each layer at a time.

Be careful not to damage the cardstock as it becomes quite fragile.

Unfurl the layers, I use a bamboo skewer to help, and dry off with heat gun.

Use the skewer to manipulate the petals to give a natural look

Finally spray with a little squirt of adhesive and sprinkle white glitter over the centres.;

You will end up with wonderful flowers like these.

Happy Birthday Shabby Embossed Card

To create this card emboss a piece of Core'dinations cardstock, emboss using Extra Confetti Embossing Folder and cut into diagonal strips, arrange of your base card and trim ends. Use Couture Creations Sanding Block to distress. Die cut a circle from patterned paper, a doily and a longevity die from white cardstock. Cut doily in half. layer all onto card adding a sentiment, trim and embellishments.

Be Love Cards

At the moment I have a passion for card making I have never professed to be a card maker BUT...I am finding them so easy with these wonderful Couture Creations products... So when I picked up the Couture Creations Fine Designs Passion Embossing Folder I was very quickly in the mood for cards.
I even tried embossing on glitter cardstock, and I like it!

Simply cut your mats to the size of your card Emboss the Glitter Cardstock Mat and adhere to card base with Couture Creations Double Sided Tape

Take a white Couture Creations Adalyn Flower remove center and dab with some acrylic paint, secure a piece of ribbon through a Couture Creations Diamonte Buckle and adhere to middle of flower. Cut a heart or two with Couture Creations Endless Dreams Kaleidascope Heart Die and tuck underneath flower as desired. Finish with some Couture Creations Adhesive Gemstones.

Endless Dreams | Fresh & Fun Layout

Kerrie Gurney created this fresh layout using the tag created for Couture Creations Make & Takes at Photo Continental tomorrow.

To create | cut 4 x 5" x 4" pieces of white cardstock emboss using Fresh & Fun embossing folders. Cut 1 x 3" x 6" piece of Core'dinations white cardstock and 1 x 3" x 2" piece of pink cardstock for tag. Die cut birdcage, jasmine dream, longevity, birds and heart using Core'dinations white, pale pink, pale blue and pale green cardstock.
