Lifetime of Memories by Adriana Bolzon

Hello there everyone,
It's Adriana here again and it's my turn to showcase a project using Couture Creations products, today I have created a layout.  My project for today, is called "Lifetime of Memories" All the flowers are made from the Couture Creations Scallop Circle Nesting Dies and from the Couture Creations Scallop Circle Nesting Dies
A very vintage layout :)   "Lifetime of Memories"

To Create the Flowers
Cut various sizes of shapes of Couture Creations Scallop Circle Nesting Dies
and from the Couture Creations Scallop Circle Nesting Dies
with text, plain and striped papers.

Distress edges, sand edges of circles with Couture Creations Sanding Block
Ink edges with Couture Creations Sponge Daubers and
Vintage photo Distress Ink.
Adhere together 3 or 4 different layers to create a flower.
To pierce the centre of each flower use the Couture Creations Handheld tools

Adhere a button, brads, beads, metal elements or pearls in the centre of each flower.

Making these flowers are a great way to use up paper leftovers or scraps,
plus you will also have a unique flower bloom that no two are the same.
I had so much fun creating these flowers I am sure you will too :)

Happy Creating :) Cheers Adriana XX

This Alone (Tim Manion)

Refrain:
One thing I ask, this alone I seek,
To dwell in the House of the Lord all my days.
For one day within Your temple heals every day alone.
O Lord, bring me to Your dwelling.
1. Hear, O Lord, the sound of my calling.
Hear, O Lord, and show me Your way.

2. The Lord is my light and hope of salvation.
The Lord is my refuge; whom should I fear?

3. Wait on the Lord and hope in His mercy.
Wait on the Lord and live in His love.

May we praise you (John Foley)

1. May we praise You, O Lord,
with heart and hand and voice.
And since life itself is your gift to us,
then may all that we are be Yours.

2. May our living be true.
May all return to You.
And when life is done, let our passing be
like a birth into light of day.

3. Let Your step guide our path.
Let shades of dark not last.
May the sun of justice return on high,
and Your love be our road and guide.

4. To the Father be praise;
to Son and Spirit praise.
Unto God the one, let all praise be done,
Til the dawn of the lasting day.

Answer when I call (John Foley)

Refrain:
Turn an ear to me O Lord, answer when I call.
Turn an ear to me O Lord, answer when I call.
1. Like an owl in the desert,
A sparrow alone and astray , I watch I wait

2. Like the grass of the summer, like shadows
That whither and fade, O Lord I wait.

3. Give an ear to my pleading and hear me
O God of my heart; I wait, I pray.

Redeemer Lord (John Foley)

1. You are our Father, Redeemer Lord are You.
Why must we wander, so far away from Your truth!
Open the heavens, return to our side.
You are our Father, Lord our guide.

2. Come back to Your servants now.
Give back O Lord Your light.
The pathways are parting now we choose
Yet You hide from our sight:
Rupture the heavens, come back to our lives:
Come down to Your people, Lord of Life.

My Shepherd is the Lord, there is nothing I shall need.
Fresh and green are the pastures where he'll lead.
My Shepherd is the Lord, there is nothing I shall need.
Fresh and green are the pastures where he'll lead.
3. Your world doesn't know You now,
they close their eyes to You.
O where are the wondrous deeds You do,
all for those who were true?
Sunder the heavens and come to our aid.
Lord, look how Your people stand afraid.

My Shepherd is the Lord, there is nothing I shall need.
Fresh and green are the pastures where he'll lead.
4. Where is Your answer? I cry my days to You.
A worm and no man am I, despised by all in my gloom.
Lord will You hear me, take heed of my heart?
O why must You let Your love depart?
My Shepherd is the Lord, there is nothing I shall need.
Fresh and green are the pastures where He'll lead.

The Lord is my Light (John Foley)

Refrain:
The Lord is my light the Lord is my shield,
Praise the Lord and the love He reveals:
Safe journey shelter and home,
Safe in the Lord alone!
1. Hear O Lord my cry to You.
Turn not away for You are my light,
Turn not Your face from me.

2. Seek Your face You said O Lord:
My Heart says to You,
Your face Lord I seek.
Hide not your face from me.

3. Wait for the Lord
and let your heart be strong.
Wait for the Lord!

The end of the beginning...

Elder L. Tom Perry

It has been quite the sentimental weekend for Brett and I.
I have been having flashbacks to three years ago when Brett and I were just newly married.
During our honeymoon, Brett was scheduled to start the Junior Core Accounting program at BYU.
Since the moment we were married, our lives have revolved around getting Brett through school
and on a path to a successful career.

I look back and marvel at how far we have come.
I'll be the first to admit, some days I just wanted it to be over.
I was ready to get past the student phase and on to a new adventure in life.
Oh what I would do today to hold on to those moments forever.

This past weekend Brett graduated with his Master of Accountancy, and I could not be more proud.
As the graduates walked out, I became a little teary eyed.
What an amazing accomplishment.

Not to be forgotten, is our amazing parents.
Both sets of parents have helped and supported us through college
and most importantly taught us the value in getting an education.
Brett's parents always taught him how important it was to do something he loved
and to work towards something that would eventually provide for a family.
They have encouraged him and pushed him to do his best.
My parents always taught me that for a woman an education was equally as important.
And both sets of parents have believed in us more than we have believed in ourselves.

As I have watched Brett over the past three years, I have seen him grow so much.
I admire Brett's ability to accomplish anything he sets his mind to.
He is such an example to me, and makes me want to be better everyday.

Brett and I have grown together more in the past few years than I would have ever imagined.
I am baffled by the fact that our capacity to love each other grows more everyday.

Even though I am sad to see this phase come and go,
I can't wait for the years to come and the adventures that await us.

It's the start of a new chapter for our little Aitken family,
and we are certainly ready to continue writing our story.

Happy Together by Patti Hamil

Hello everyone!
It's time for my second post here!
I am still so excited to get to create with these awesome products! I wanted to share a layout with some handmade blooms. The two pink blooms were made with the Nesting Dies, and I mixed some regular blooms from my stash in with them. I will share how I made these blooms.

But first I want to share the completed project. This is a page of our niece on her wedding day! I just love the fun photo capturing the excitement!

Now on to the blooms. I used the Nesting Dies (Daisy) for these blooms. I did two different sizes. You can make them the size you want, you just need 2 smaller and 3 larger. After cutting, use a sponge dabber and ink the center with a little darker ink. Also snip slightly in between each petal Next you will use your piercing tool and make a hole in the center of each. Attach them all together with a brad. Spritz really good with water. Then carefully fold each layer up toward the brad, gathering in the center. Your bloom will look like the one below. Let it dry.

Next, take your piercing tool and carefully pull apart each layer and petal. Just be careful, some sections are bunched up really tightly.

Now, once you have them separated, you can remove the brad, they will look like the ones below:

Now you can layer them and attach with the type of adhesive of your choice. I used a white glue on mine.

Here is a closeup of the finished blooms. You don't need a center, they look more natural left the way they are!

For my background, I embossed two pieces of aqua colored paper with a slight pattern with the Elegance Collection Large Damask Flourish. I also then embossed a solid lavendar paper with the Confetti folder from the Elegance Collection. I cut the lavendar into circles.

Here you see some closeups of the detail of this.

I used the adhesive foam tape to raise up the smaller embossed circles for some added dimension. I really like how the intricate patterns of the embossing folders are so visible, these are great folders!

One more look at the blooms. I hope you have enjoyed this little tip on making blooms. You can play around and get lots of different looks with this technique!!! I appreciate you stopping by!!!

Trust in the Lord (Roc O'Connor)

Refrain:
Trust in the Lord; you shall not tire.
Serve you the Lord you shall not weaken.
For the Lord's own strength will uphold you.
You shall renew your life and live.
1. The Lord is our eternal God .
He neither faints nor grows weary.
Our hearts He probes from afar,
Knowing our ways, knowing our ways.

2. Young hearts may grow faint and weak
Youths may collapse, stumble and fall.
They that hope in the Lord will renew their courage.
They'll soar with eagle's might.

3. Old men shall dream new dreams.
Young men will find wisdom in visions.
The Lord will speak in our lifetime,
Show His face to those who wait.

Lord of Glory (Tim Manion)

Refrain:
Leaping the mountains, bounding the hills,
See how our God has come to meet us.
His voice is lifted, His face is joy.
Now is the season to sing our song on high.
1. Come, then O Lord of Glory
Show us Your face.
Speak for we know Your words are life.

2. He pastures His flock among the wild flowers,
And leads them to the mountain of His love.

3. All through the day, all through the night;
Seek for the Lord and sing His love.

Think Spring with Flowers and Embossing by Gloria Stengel

Hello, it's Gloria Stengel with you today. Let's make a springtime friendship card with hand-made flowers!
We are going to create a card with a soft, feminine look using an embossing folder technique. I used a colored image as my focal point. You may chose to stamp and color an image or use a pre-made image.
Using the Couture Creations Craft Scissors and Craft Knife, trim your image. Set aside.
Emboss cardstock with the Vintage Girl folder from the Elegance Collection. I chose to emboss opalescent cardstock for that extra shimmer.

Trim your embossed cardstock to 5 1/4 x 4 inches. Rub the raised surface with white ink to highlight the embossing.
Using the Sunflower Nesting Die, cut a several shapes from patterned paper. For my flower, I used three of the smallest flower and three of the next to smallest flower. (I originally cut two of the next size flower, but realized that the flower was too big for my card, so  put those aside for another project.)

Using the craft scissors, snip between each petal to lengthen them.
Place each flower onto a dense, foam surface (such as a mouse pad) and rub in a circular motion using the end of the embossing tool. Your flower will begin to "cup."
Gently roll each petal as shown. (I use a long, quilling tool, but you can also use the end of a skinny paint brush.)
Once all of your flowers are shaped,, begin stacking them, starting with the largest. Adhere each layer with strong, fast-drying, wet glue. As you place each layer, make sure to off-set the petals. The petals on the top flower should line up with the space between petals on the bottom flower.
Continue stacking the flowers until you achieve the size and shape you desire. For my project, I removed the bottom two layers to create a smaller flower. For extra dimension, rub your flower petals with chalk ink.
Create a 5 1/2 x 4 1/4 inch card from gray cardstock. Trim pink paper to 5 3/8 x 4 1/8 inches. Attach the embossed panel to the pink paper and then wrap a length of blue ribbon around the panels and attach to the back. Attach the embossed panel to the card front.

Attach your image to the center of the embossed oval using Foam Mounting Tape. Construct two bows, one from the blue ribbon and one from pale pink ribbon. Stack them on the right side of the card and glue in place.
Glue your flower on top of the bows. Thanks for joining me today! Have fun trying to make your own flowers!

Blest be the Lord (Dan Schutte)

Refrain:
Blest Be the Lord, Blest Be The Lord
The God of mercy, the God who saves.
I shall not fear the dark of night,
Nor the arrow that files by day.
1. He will release me from the nets of sinful men,
He will release me from their wicked hands.
Beneath the shadow of His wings, I will rejoice,
To find a dwelling place secure.

2. I need not shrink before the terrors of the night,
Nor stand alone before the light of day.
No harm shall come to me, no arrow strike me down.
No evil settle in my soul.

3. Although a thousand men have fallen at my side,
I'll not be shaken with the Lord at hand.
His faithful Love is all the armor that I need
To wage the battle with the foe

Only in God (John Foley)

Refrain:
Only is God will my soul be at rest
From Him comes my hope, my salvation.
He alone is my rock of safety,
My strength, my Glory my God.
1. Trust in Him at all times O people
and pour out your heart.
God Himself is a refuge for us
And a stronghold for our fear.

2. Many times have I heard Him tell
Of His long lasting love.
You, Yourself, Lord reward all who labor
For love of Your Name.

Composer: John Foley

Jesus the Lord (Roc O'Connor)

Refrain:
Jesus, Jesus
Let all creation bend the knee to the Lord.
 1. In Him we live, we move and have our being;
In Him the Christ, In Him the King!
Jesus the Lord.

2. Though Son, He did not cling to Godliness,
But emptied Himself, became a slave!
Jesus the Lord.

3. He lived obediently His Father's will
Accepting His death, death on a cross!
Jesus the Lord.

I Lift Up My Soul (Tim Manion)

Refrain:
To You, Yahweh, I lift up my soul O my God.
To You, Yahweh, I lift up my soul, O my God.
1. Yahweh, show your ways to me.
Teach me Your paths and
Keep me in the ways of Your truth,
For You are the God that saves me.

2. The Lord is so good, so holy.
Sinners find the way,
And in all that is right He guides the humble.
The poor he leads in His pathways.

3. All day long I hope in Your goodness.
Remember Your love,
The love that You promised long ago.
And the kindness that you gave from of old.

Peace Prayer (John Foley)

1. Lord make me a means of Your Peace
Where there's hatred grown
Let me sow Your love
Where there's injury Lord
Let forgiveness be my sword
Lord make me a means of Your Peace

2. Lord make me a means of Your Peace
When there's sadness here
Let me sow Your joy
When the darkness nears
May Your light dispel our fears
Lord make me a means of Your Peace

3. Lord grant me to seek and to share
Less to be consoled
Than to help console
Less be understood
Than to understand Your good
Lord make me a means of Your Peace

4. Lord grant me to seek and to share
To forgive in thee
You've forgiven me
For to die in thee
Is eternal life to me
Lord make me a means of Your Peace
