Man at Work by Sue Smyth

It is not often I get to do boy layouts as the boys dont pose for photos so much, this one though is of my middle son climbing a rock wall, he could do nothing about me taking a photo, suspended up there!

To create the embossed mixed media look I have folded a piece of white cardstock in half and embossed one end, then the other with Celebrate, then I trimmed off any un-embossed areas. Once I opened up the cardstock I have painted it roughly with gesso before spritzing with Turquoise and Marigold glimmer mists.

The black flourish is Couture Creations Endless Dreams Moments in time C0723434, cut out of lightweight chipboard, which is sprayed with Matt black spray paint, then covered in Dimensional Magic. And the flower is made from old book pages, that are cut with Sunflowers die, easy to cut many layers at once and then scrunch up and mist with colour, I always like to spray a little adhesive and sprinkle with white glitter, this makes any flower sparkle and pop.
