Dieu fidèle, Dieu très bon (Taizé)

1. Dieu fidèle, Dieu très bon,
Dieu sauveur, gloire à ton nom !
Jésus vient briser nos fers,
Et les cieux nous sont ouverts.

2. Des peuples qui l'attendaient,
Des saints qui le prédisaient
Les vœux sont enfin remplis:
Dieu nous a donné son Fils.

3. Sois le bienvenu, Seigneur,
Viens habiter dans mon cœurs :
Possèdele désormais
Pour y régner à jamais.

4. O toi qui laissant le ciel
pris pour nous un corps mortel
Viens Jésus, régner en moi
et que je demeure en toi.

5. Je veux t'aimer ici-bas,
jusqu'à l'heure où tu viendras
rassembler ton people élu
qui t'appartient, ô Jésus.

Celebrate by Patti Hamil

I wanted to do a dimensional card with some of the folders, and I wanted a blinged up look! So I used several Couture Creations embossing folders and then highlighted the raised areas with Glitzin' Glamour Glitter Glue!!! Used lots of foam tape too!!!

Here's my card!

I used some Glitter cardstock and made a little medallion and placed a stamped title on it. I placed it on a folder (ribbon pleated) strip of  Pastel cardstock inked green. I used a circle underneath them that I had embossed with the Exotic folder and used Crystalina Glitzin' Glamour on it.

Here you see some close-up detail!

Here you can see the folded cardstock that the medallion is on top of.

The background of the card is also a piece of cardstock embossed with the Exotic folder and highlighted with more Glitzin' Glamour in Lilac! This was lots of fun to do and it looks really festive too!!!

Pure Pleasure with Dana Tatar

Hi Couture Creations fans! Dana here today sharing a clean and simple card. Some of my favourite embossing folders are from the Fine Designs Collection. I think the embossed images are simply beautiful and don't need much in the way of embellishing. I used the Pure Pleasure A2 Embossing Folder for this card.

I colored my embossed image with Distress Markers. The brush tip of the Distress Markers glided over the embossed areas, making coloring my image quick and easy. I filled in the flower centers with Aztec Gold Glitzin' Glamour. I then inked the edges of my floral design with Distress Ink.

I selected a sentiment stamp and added the text to the top of my card with dye ink. I then adhered the image to a piece of patterned paper and then onto a patterned card base.

I finished my card by adding Cafe Creme Self Adhesive Pearls to the corners of my colored image.

Thanks so much for stopping by today!

August 28.
My favorite day of the year.
It's the day I set aside to admire all of the countless days I get to spend with this guy.
It is our anniversary.
Our third year of marriage was most definitely memorable.
It was the year we left behind the student life.
It was the year we we moved into our first house.
But most importantly...
It was the year we started our family.
I can without a doubt say I love the man in my life far more than the year before.
I will never, ever forget the day we found out we were expecting.
Not just because we were excited for a little one to join our family.
But because of the way it changed our marriage for the better.
A professor once told me, "If you want to make a good marriage great, have a baby."
We went from good to great that day and have not turned back.
Seeing the man I love preparing to be a father is unlike anything I have ever experienced.
We are still keeping our marriage alive, just the way I always hoped.
We are far from perfect.
He zones out and I run my mouth.
Not every day will be as life changing as the day we became parents,
but that is the beauty of it all.
The up days and down days and the completely flat days.
That is what marriage is all about.
Brett Aitken you are the love of my life.
I loved the dating days.
The engaged days.
and the newlywed days.
And now, I am looking forward to the parenting days.
But many, many days down the road when the kids have flown the coup
I hope to still look at you the way I did the day of August 28, 2010.
{even if we are a bit wrinkly and old}
So here's to loving the days now, the days then and the beautiful days ahead.
Happy day babe.
I love you.
