Using the Couture Creations Doily Die Ivy set, cut 2 large and 6 small, layer the 2 large and 2 small, secure with a brad, spritz with water and scrunch each layer upwards, secure 2 small and repeat steps until you have your required amount of flowers

Run the centre of the doily through Couture Creations Elegance  CHEERFUL Folder

Using the outer part of the Doily Die as a mask, place on pattern paper, and hit with a little mist

Couture Creations | Core'Dinations Blog Hop Day 6 with Tracey Cooley

Welcome to Day 6 our final day of the Couture Creations & Core’dinations ColorCore Cardstock Blog Hop!
We’re so excited to team up with Core’dinations ColorCore Cardstock to share some inspiring projects with you this week, marrying our products together, what could be more perfect our Embossing Folders and Dies and Core'dinations ColorCore Cardstock.

Hi it's Tracey, I am Super excited to be a part of the Couture Creations/Core'dinations Blog Hop.... I love Core'dinations cardstock it is the only cardstock I use so this project was a delight to do.
I started out with a very cheap lamp I purchased from my local chain store for a very small $8 AUD. And it looked a little like this.....

boring right???? Well after a bit of thought, some Core'dinations Cardstock and Couture Creations tools.......

NOW LOOK!!!!!

I measured the sides of the ceramic base of my lamp and cut some Core'dinations Core Essentials Neutrals to fit (leaving some overlap to go around the sides and a notch out of the back piece for the cord) and embossed it with the Couture Creations Elegance Taylor Emboss Folder and gave it a light sand using the Couture Creations Sanding Block... I then cleaned up the particles of sanded paper with the Core'dinations Dust Buddy... OMG I love this cloth sooo easy to clean up after sanding and it picks the dust right off my finished cardstock without sticking to it!!!!

With a glitter gel pen I traced around the edges of the embossed image to give it a bit of sparkle.

I cut some 1.5 inch strips of Core'dinations Neutrals cardstock and embossed them using the uber cool slit in the top of the Couture Creations embossing folders to do the entire length. Lightly sand and traced it with glitter pen as well. Core'dinations Cardstock with its coloured core is such a great match with the Couture Creations Emboss Folders and Sanding Block, its like a match made in Heaven! Such great results.

I then used a scoring board to score some fold lines in the strips so I could easily pleat the them, for some interest, securing them in place with Couture Creations 12mm Double Sided Tape.

Then layer the pleated cardstock around the lamp shade securing it with hot glue. Gluing a piece of beaded ribbon along the bottom and a piece of braid along the very top to finish off.

Then using the Couture Creations Victorian Rectangle Nesting Dies I cut a piece of the same neutral Core'dinations Cardstock and embossed, sanded and traced it, the same as the previous pieces. I decorated it with a Core'dinations Pastel Tags (too cute) and used the Couture Creations Stylus from the Handhled Essentials kit to apply a rub on.

I cut a small doily from Core'dinations Glitter Silk Cardstock using the Couture Creations Fantasia Doily Dies Ivy, and tucked it behind the Victorian Rectangle. The Core'dinations Glitter Silk cut beautifully in the doily die and was easy to remove!! I embellished this little stack of Core'dinations cardstock with some crystals and flowers and secured it to the front of my lamp shade.

I love the way this lamp turned out and hope it inspires you to try something a little different with your Core'dinations cardstock and Couture Creations Embossing Folders...I even love it more....
 with the lights out!!!!

Keep on Creating!!

Couture Creations | Core'Dinations Blog Hop Day 6 with Kerrie Gurney

Welcome to Day 6 our final day of the Couture Creations & Core’dinations ColorCore Cardstock Blog Hop!
We’re so excited to team up with Core’dinations ColorCore Cardstock to share some inspiring projects with you this week, marrying our products together, what could be more perfect our Embossing Folders and Dies and Core'dinations ColorCore Cardstock.

Hi it's Kerrie here  and I am so happy to be sharing my blog hop project, I love love love Core'dinations cardstock so this blog hop is perfect for me as I have such a stash of Core'dinations cardstock as it works so well with our Couture Creations embossing folders. Anyway enough from me onto my project. I created an off the page layout  for my Mum as she recently celebrated not only her 70th birthday but the birth of her second Great Granddaughter. Mum got to meet her new little princess at her birthday celebration lunch. Willow is just 10days so new and so perfect.
I used an embroidery hoop as my Mum is a Quilter and sewer so it is perfect for her to hang on her wall.

start by marking around the embroidery hoop and cut out the circle

lay Core'dinations Colour Core cardstock on top of embossing folder and sand to bring the embossed patterned out with the core colour showing through. This technique gives you a soft look to your projects.

clean off dust with  Dust Buddy and pop into embroidery hoop, you may need to cut some small nicks into the side to help in go onto the hoop. I also painted my hoop white, but you can leave it plain.

Die cut Tattered Lace Doily Die with Yellow Whitewash cardstock cut in half

and sand, clean off with Dust Buddy

Die cut two Sophia Connexion dies using Green Whitewash cardstock

Die cut 6 Rose shapes using the Rose Nesting Dies cutting 2 ea of the two bigger dies and 1 ea of the next two sizes.

Sand the edges of all pieces and layer together, poke a hole through the middle and pop in some stamens.

spray with water all layers srunching them into the center as you spray

giving you a scrunched ball slowing unscrunch giving you flower shape

cut a strip of patterned paper 1" x 12" and make into a banner pennant, apply double sided tape to the ends and foam mounting tape the to the centre of the banner.

layer everything onto your hoop, I used a hot glue gun for the flower to make sure it stayed on. Create a tag for hidden journalling

add some Crystal Glitzin' Glamour glitter glue to flower

Couture Creations | Core'Dinations Blog Hop Day 5 with Patti Hamil

Welcome to Day 5 of the Couture Creations & Core’dinations Color Core Cardstock Blog Hop!

We’re so excited to team up with Core’dinations Color Core Cardstock to share some inspiring projects with you this week, marrying our products together.

Hi it's Patti I wanted to take this opportunity to create a page with our beautiful new Granddaughter who was born June 12!!! She is absolutely precious and the Pastel Core'dinations papers were perfect for a baby girl layout!

This is my finished project, I used lots of Couture Creations and Core'dinations on this. I think this photo is just so sweet and I wanted to keep the focus on the photo itself.

I started out by cutting four 5.5 inch squares of the pastel cardstock. I used the Hyper Magical embossing folder on each one. I placed them for my background and "faux" stitched around them with my Zig markers. I die-cut scallop squares using the second and third largest size. I used the Glitter cardstock for the smaller and a coordinating color of the 6x6 cardstock. I outlined them with my Zig markers. I then placed them on the page leaving space for a 4x6 photo. I used different embellishments on each square. I used a die-cut dragonfly on the yellow and blue, then used buttons and punched blooms. The leaves were cut from a scrap of the Hyper Magical embossed cardstock that was left over.

Here is a close-up of the title. I just used chipboard pieces and 5 punched blooms with Glitzin' Glamour in matching colors for the centers.

Here is a close-up where you see a punched bloom and also some of the embossing.

Here you can see the different embossed layers and the little bloom and dragonfly. It all layers together beautifully.

I took one of the smaller Pastel Core-dination Tags and wrote the basic information on it. I used a couple of pieces of Couture Creations foam tape to give it some dimension.

Here is another detail of some of the embellishments I used, this is a piece of the embossed folder cut out.

Here is one where I used a button and twine!!!

One more close-up showing another button, part of the tag and some detail of the embossing. I love the look of the coordinating colors of Glitter and regular cardstock.

I used Gemstones in matching colors on the bodies of the dragonflies. I just drew the little antennae with my Zig marker.

Here is the title again, the little punched blooms
